    • Obituary: Vito T Balacco, 90 of Largo, FL passed away November 9th, 2015 at Woodside Hospice Pinellas Park, FL with his daughter Annmarie Caldwell by his side. He was born In Italy and moved to Hoboken NJ as a young child. He served his country with the Army in WWll and was wounded at Normandy Beach on D-Day receiving a Purple Heart. After a long recovery time from his wounds he went to school to become an electrician and worked for General Foods. In 1964 when General Foods relocated he moved to Dover DE retiring in 1981 and moving to Palm Hill Country Club. He is proceeded in passing by his wife, Mary C. Balacco in 2013. Two loving sisters Nancy DeCandia and Martha DeSteno and a brother Leonard Balacco. Vito is survived by his loving, devoted daughter Annmarie Caldwell Largo and her husband Roy W Caldwell JR of Clayton DE. Daughter Maddalen Balacco of Sun City FL and a son Stephen Balacco of Massachusetts. Grandson Vito Balacco Apollo Beach, FL. Devoted granddaughter Diana Lynn Janeka and her husband Ricky Janeka of Smyrna, DE. Grandson John Boyles of Smyrna DE. Great grandchildren Tommy and Rene Fretz, Brittney, Hunter and Saylor Janeka and the most precious thing in his heart his great great granddaughter Kaylee Marie Fretz AKA his BABYCAKES. He loved playing pool with his friends, golfing, and making crafts for his family. Funeral Service will be 1pm Thursday Nov. 19th at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Rd. Largo Florida 33774.
