SHEFTER-Evelyn P. Died on May 20, 2001 at age 87. We mourn the loss and passing of the beloved wife of Harry Shefter. Cherished mother of Barbara Ginsburg and Sharon Briskman, grandmother of Randi, Bonni, Lauren and James, great grandmother of Jordan, Samantha, Kevin, Daniella, Jack and Sam, sister of Milton Palevsky and the late Jerome Palevsky. Dr. Shefter was the first licensed school psychologist in New York City and worked for the Bureau of Child Guidance for the New York City Board of Education for almost 40 years.
